Coinbase Wallet launches Smart Wallet to help make onchain onboarding faster, easier, and safer

Smart Wallet, just launched by Coinbase, is an extension of their Wallet SDK that offers a seamless wallet creation experience within a dapp using just a passkey. This makes it easier for apps to bring users onchain by eliminating the need for app downloads, extensions, or seed phrases. As a global unified wallet, it enables users to carry their balances across hundreds of EVM-compatible applications already integrated with the Coinbase Wallet SDK. This solution is now available on Base Sepolia testnet, offering developers a user-ready, free solution to enhance user experience. During its testnet phase, developers can explore features like passkey technology, test transactions, and a full-screen web companion portal for wallet management.
